Small Business Assistance Program
The program provides grants and incentives to help support the needs of area small businesses and non-profit organizations – with fewer than 50 employees – in the Mohawk Valley region. Proposals that are received and meet the criteria will be considered. The process is non-competitive. The committee recommends qualifying applications to the Genesis Group Board of Trustees for final approval
Submit your proposal and include the following:
- Describe how the grant will be used to benefit your business and community
- Project Budget
- Any other funders for the project
- Number of years in business
- Number of Employees
- Invoices or estimates for project
* If selected, you will be asked to show proof of how the grant was used.
* Past nominees (not awardees) may re-apply.

Grant Recipients working together...
One of the recipients of the third round of Small Business Assistance grants, Alex Nicolette of Bloom Nutrition Solutions, plans to use her grant towards a website, working with one of the recipients of the first round of Small Business Assistance grants, Leigh Ann Dillon of Hilltop Marketing.
This is a great example of The Genesis Group’s mission of unity, cooperation, and growth by facilitating community support of businesses both large and small. That’s what this program aims to do.
